ISH 2019

BDR Thermea presents House of Innovation, cutting-edge hydrogen boiler and silent heat pump at ISH 2019, Frankfurt

11 March 2019

BDR Thermea Group, a leading manufacturer of smart thermal comfort solutions, presents its latest innovations at the ISH 2019 trade fair in Frankfurt. A cutting-edge pure hydrogen boiler and a new silent heat pump are the highlights of the company’s exhibits at this year’s ISH – the world’s largest trade fair for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry.
BDR Thermea Group is present in Germany under the brands Brötje, Remeha and SenerTec, which will be on display in a more than 2,000sqm exhibition space in Hall 12. Each brand will showcase its latest products and innovations in heat pumps, fuel cells, combined heat and power (CHP), and other smart heating solutions for commercial and residential markets. Brötje, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year, is the brand behind the silent heat pump. SenerTec is exhibiting its second generation of micro combined heat and power devices, while Remeha is showing its latest commercial solutions offering.

In the BDR Thermea Group Energy Lounge, customers and partners from around the world will have the opportunity to see what’s new from brands Baymak, Baxi, De Dietrich and Chappée.
Bertrand Schmitt, CEO of BDR Thermea Group, says: “We see the energy transition and digitization as opportunities to contribute to a lower-carbon future. BDR Thermea’s innovative strength enables our customers to be at the forefront of new technological developments. Today, we already offer solutions for immediate use such as heat pumps, hybrid systems, CHP and IoT-connected appliances. Our cutting-edge pure hydrogen boiler, on display at ISH, shows what the zero carbon-emission heating system of the future can be.”

House of Innovation

BDR Thermea Group welcomes its customers at the House of Innovation, the center of the company’s ISH exhibition. It offers visitors an immersive experience of the industry’s key technologies of the future. With a focus on five themes, the group shares its view of future trends and how it will address the challenges related to the energy transition and increasing digitization.
It will allow a glimpse into how connectivity, cloud technology and the Internet of Things are shaping the HVAC sector. This includes remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and connected room units with voice control – all designed to deliver smart value to end-users and installers.

BDR Thermea Group’s state-of-the-art pure hydrogen boiler technology offers a sustainable heating solution beyond natural gas. By producing thermal energy from pure hydrogen, the boiler is a highly efficient heating solution with zero carbon emissions. BDR Thermea Group is one of the first to trial this new technology, participating in several field tests, such as a pilot project in Rozenburg, the Netherlands. Using the unique combination of pure hydrogen from renewable energy sources and distribution via a dedicated gas grid, the boilers provide heating and hot water to homes. Power-to-gas, which involves converting electrical power into gas fuel, is one of the most important technologies in the energy transition.

The House of Innovation is the perfect place to consider these key changes in the HVAC sector, providing an inspiring space for BDR Thermea Group to interact with its key partners, such as installers. By sharing learnings and views, the group aims to work together towards achieving a near-zero carbon footprint in the future.
