Heat pumps

Heat pumps capture energy from the air or ground to provide heating and hot water for the home.

There is a large amount of constantly renewed energy in the air, in water and in the ground.  Heat pumps capture the energy present in the natural environment and use it to provide heating for the home or to cool it down in the summer.

Ground and Air Source Heat Pumps

Ground and air source heat pumps are easy to install and maintain, and are especially suited for well insulated properties with underfloor heating, low temperature radiators or fan coil units. In addition, they help to reduce carbon emissions, reducing the impact on the environment.

  • Depending on the type of fuel you are replacing, the size of your home and how well insulated it is, installing a heat pump can substantially reduce your fuel costs over the long term.

Example Product – Split System Air Source Heat Pump

Located in the grounds of your home, the outdoor heat pump unit recovers energy from the surrounding air. It is connected to an indoor module, an interface between heat production by the outdoor generator and your heating system.

The easy to use control system allows you to control the temperature of your home and domestic hot water to the degree. Its coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.2 means that on average for every 1kWh of electricity it consumes, the heat pump generates 4.2kWh of heat, meaning you have received 3.2kWh for free.

It also allows you to produce up to 70% of your domestic hot water absolutely free. Combined with a 150- to 300-litre tank, according to your needs, you will get plenty of hot water. For each model, there is also the option of having a 220-litre tank incorporated in the casing.

Heat Pumps Water Heaters 

The Heat Pump water heater works on the principle of an air source heat pump and recovers energy from the air.  Installed inside a property, it runs at maximum all year round by exploiting the energy in the ambient air.

  • It can operate when the outside temperature is as low as -5°C, with the water storage tank heating up to 65°C using the thermodynamic generator. 
  • It does not need fossil fuels to work and it does not emit carbon dioxide. As part of a renovation project, it can be combined with other energy sources.
