At BDR Thermea, we believe in doing business the right way. We apply environmental, social, ethical, quality and commercial criteria in supplier selection and assessment. We work closely with our suppliers to build lasting relationships, drive innovation and create shared value.

Our procurement processes are aimed at ensuring a stable, responsible supply of high-quality products and services for our customers. We challenge all our suppliers to have strong business ethics, respect people, and care for the environment.

We use EcoVadis assessments to evaluate participating suppliers’ environmental, social and ethical management practices. This helps us track and improve suppliers’ environmental, social, and ethical performance. Visit the Ecovadis website to learn more and join up.

What we aim for

We aim to conduct business with our suppliers in a fair, objective, and transparent manner.  Customer satisfaction, care for the environment and quality guide our procurement management approach. Only suppliers that meet our high standards of quality, sustainability and collaboration can achieve a place on our preferred supplier list.

Customer satisfaction

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. Our quality team continuously monitors our supply chain performance. That way, we ensure our products live up to and exceed our customers’ expectations in terms of usability, quality, and reliability.

Environmental

We care about the environment. We work together with our suppliers on responsible practices across our supply chain, relating to waste, packaging and transport. We also collaborate on initiatives to reduce material use, energy consumption and waste.

Quality

We only select suppliers that meet our standards for high-quality materials and services. BDR Thermea has a zero-defect approach. That means we expect our suppliers to apply the ‘first time right’ principle. This reduces waste and costs for our suppliers and customers.

EcoVadis

We measure the sustainable practices of our suppliers against international standards through the EcoVadis framework. The EcoVadis assessment allows us to evaluate supplier performance across environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement to track ongoing progress.

We apply LEAN industry standards to our supply chain. We have harmonised our supply chain processes to ensure standardised products, cost reduction and waste minimalisation.
